Family

Miss Paisley got lots of loving this week. Auntie Deanna has come to see her several times already, but due to Uncle TJ's work schedule he hadn't gotten to see her yet. They came over and got lots of snuggles in. Uncle TJ couldn't get over how small she is, but Deanna kept reminding him that she is more than a pound bigger than when she started Paisley also got to meet Auntie Colleen and Nana this week. Nana was a little nervous to hold her but it was so nice to have her spend time with her. Auntie Colleen didn't seem nervous at all, and just got right to snuggling. The Paradis family has been such a huge part of our lives for the last several years. It was such a blessing when Meg and I met. God has just blessed us so much. These guys are like family and I am so thankful every day for them. Meg throughout the last several weeks/months has been such an integral part of our team of helpers/prayers etc. She has organized meals and child care. She has come over herself and taken care of us. She has been my encourager and prayer warrior. When I get down I reach out to her and she always shows me God's love. Jeremy has been amazing as well, so encouraging and supportive. And we just love these kids. Abby helped me a lot this summer as a mother's helper. Both she and Gracie are just incredible with Preston, as well as Sophia. And Sam just loves the boys. These guys have been adopted into our family, and we call them auntie and uncle.

Sammy is 7!!!

I still can't believe my little tiny miracle baby is 7 years old! It is so amazing thinking back to the time I was pregnant with him and how the devil tried so hard to take him from us. We were told he wouldn't survive my surgery when I was 17weeks pregnant, and then I got kicked in the stomach, and then the severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome. And then his first year when he was so sick and they didn't know why. To his second year when he had the hemorrhage and we learned that he had the bleeding disorder. We have had a roller coaster ride like no other with this little boy, and I am so very thankful that God has been with us through it all! God has comforted and provided for us through it all. And these special days of celebration are such a reminder of His unending love for us. Several years ago Sam had requested a camping birthday. He has continued to desire that for his birthday. So this year Matt took Sophia and Sam camping at Lake Dennison. Matt's parents also joined them. They had a wonderful weekend. Preston and I came during the day but slept at home in our beds at night. The day of Sam's party was overcast and had some sprinkles. It was a nice time and he was very excited that we got him his own kayak! He also got some cool legos and some games. But his favorite besides the kayak was the money he received because now he can pick out his own lego set :-) I certainly am lacking on the photo taking lately, but hopefully will be better soon...

Wonderful weekend.... and some bleeding

Saturday we had such a wondeful day. As I have mentioned before it has been really hard for me as my siblings have moved away. I was feeling so sad for my kids, that they wouldn't be surrounded by all of their aunts and uncles and cousins. I am so thankful that two of my sisters are still around but I certainly miss my other sister and my two brothers and their families. Thankfully God has blessed us with Christian "aunties" and "Uncles" for these munchkins of mine. I have written often about the Paradis family. I feel so incredibly blessed to have Meg in my life, another sister in the Lord who is just a kind sweet spirit, who has been such an incredible prayer warrior for us. It is so wonderful to have that person that you can share faith with so deeply. We each are so thankful that God has paved the way for this friendship. Her husband Jeremy is wonderful too! These guys have just loved on us so completely. I am so thankful for each of them, and their children Abbby, Gracie, Benjamin and Josiah. We also have been blessed to get to know another wonderful family in the recent year or so, the Murphy family. Tippany blessed us so much last year with childcare when she was out of work. It was such a tremendous blessing, to know the kiddos were so well cared for.... We had an after Christmas sledding party on saturday. Meg and Jeremy have a huge hill in their backyard which Jeremy snowblowed into a cool sledding track! The kids had a blast... Well Sophia was very afraid but she did manage to go down once :-)
After Sam's severe belly pain last week I have been anxious about what was going to come of it. Well this weekend it would appear that he is having bloody stools again, not a huge amount but there is some.... :-( Please be praying for him. I am waiting for a call back from his actual GI doctor, not the oncall doctor....
