Tubby time
Miss Paisley got a bath today. She fussed initially when they put her in the tub but then she relaxed and was just floating with her legs crossed. The nurses are so wonderful, I feel so blessed to have such kind women caring for my girl. She is doing so well. She is up to 4lb 11.7 ounces now. She is taking almost 1.5 ounces when she bottle feeds, and is nursing for anywhere between 6-15minutes per feeding. Right now she eats every three hours, and we are alternating between breast and fortified breast milk to give her extra calories to help her grow quicker.

Cousins
I am so thankful that my sisters Deanna and Doreen are still here. Family is so important. I have so many memories of playing with my cousins from when I was a little kid. All kinds of sleepovers and singalongs, and walks in the woods with my grandfather. Baking with my grandmother etc etc.
I am so sad that DJ, Lyndsea and their son Trenton live so far away, and that Denise, Ron and their children, Davion, Dasanee and Danee are so far. It is sad that our kids don't get to see each other often. But thankfully we do get to see Doreen's little boy Darius. We just love him! He is so fun and he and Preston are about the same size even though Darius is already two. The other day Darius came to play while his mommy was at work...

Thankful for the little things....
It is SSSOOO HHHARD being in the hospital, and away from the rest of my family. I am so very thankful for the friends and family that are lifting us up in prayer, and for the trip I got to make home today to shower while my mom stayed with Mr P. I am thankful for the nurse Jan today bringing me in some Reese's. I am thankful that all of our nurses have been my friends. I am thankful that our babysitter has been so flexible and available to get Sammy on the bus this week. I am so thankful for Shannon keeping Sophia and loving on her. I am thankful that the other day when our dryer started sparking that I heard it and we dind't have a fire, but then when we called the repair guy he said it would be several hundred dollars to fix. But praise God all that is wrong is that a screw fell out of Matt's pocket and nothing is actually broken.
Mr P threw up several times throughout the day today but I am so thankful that he was able to take a tubby, and that that made him so happy. He weighed 19lb 6oz today
I am thankful that Matt and Sammy have had some special times together since I have been here. I am thankful that I have a bed to sleep in and we have our own room here. I am thankful that the x-ray they did of Preston's belly today was ok, and believing that the repeat tomorrow will be ok too. I am so very thankful for all the many blessings God has shown me this week.

More allergy testing
So I heard back today from the immunologist/allergist's office about more allergy testing. We will head into Children's on March 12th for "patch tests." They actually apply these patches to Sam's skin that are left on for 48hrs to determine if he has a slower response. The skin prick test is an IgE mediated response, but since he didn't have any reactions to the skin prick tests they will move on to see if he has any slower reactions.
Sam and Sophia actually slept over my parents last night which was great. THe kids couldn't wait to have this sleep over and had a wonderful time. Sam actually got hit in the face while there and had quite the bloody nose, but it did stop bleeding so that is good. He is definitely dragging today, I am just hoping it is because he stayed up a little later than normal at moms, and not that he is getting sick.
Preston isn't feeling all that well either:-( Last night he had a temp, and was pretty fussy during the night, and I contemplated bringing him to the doctor this morning after I got home from work, but he seemed better. But once the night got here he has gotten irritable again and is running a low grade temp. I guess we will see how it goes. If he has a temp again tomorrow I may just call the office and see what they think since it will be the third day. Even despite his crabbiness this little guy loves his bath...
Could you please say a prayer for my sweet friend Meg? She had pneumonia a few months ago and is experiencing similar symptoms again. Thank you so much!!!

Tubby Time
Sam and Sophia have been asking for MONTHS to take a bath with Preston. I have always been very hesitant and haven't allowed them to do it. But today I had the idea to put the baby tub in the tub with him in it and then put water in the regular tub for Sophia. So they were "taking a bath together" like she so desperately wanted. It was cute, they both were smiling and happy to watch each other. Preston has really started to kick and splash alot in the tub:-) And our cat Lewis was super curious about all the commotion in the bathroom so he came in to watch too.
Please pray for Sammy as he has his colonoscopy/endoscopy on monday. I am trying so hard not to be anxious and to remember that God is in control. But unfortunately for some reason I am scared about this. I know that God will be with him through it all, and that He will protect him, but I am still anxious. I just keep thinking back to the last colonscopy where he had the hematoma and subsequent hemorrhage. SCARY!!! So please be praying for him, and for us that we can stay focused on God and His power. Also please pray for the prep for this, that it doesn't hurt Sammy's tummy. Thank you!!!

Tubby time and hibernation
So even though Preston is my third preemie, and even though Sam had all his health issues, I feel like this time around not being able to be out and about is going to be much harder. Today as I dressed Sam and Sophia for church I was sad that I wasn't joining them. Thankfully my mom watched Mr P last week for me so I could go, and I am hoping to go next week...but it is weird being home on a sunday morning. I know that God understands, but I so enjoy being with other believers to worship him. I am listening to KLove and enjoying the peace of not having the other two munchkins arguing. But I am wishing that I was at church.
So Preston always seems to have stinky hands. He so often has his fists clenched that they get all stinky and sweaty. Some days he loves his bath and other days not so much. This time he did love it:-)

Weight, bath time and other randomness
So Preston and I went back to the doctor today. She was not happy with his weight gain since monday:-( It is so discouraging to know that my milk isn't good enough to help him grow. I just wish that I was enough to help him. He was 6lb almost 1oz on monday and today he was 6lb3oz. So he didn't gain the 1oz per day that she was hoping for. We will go back on monday to check and see how he does over the weekend. I am hoping he gains really well like he did last weekend. She is also going to start having visiting nurses come in next week to weigh him as well...
Sam and Soph seem to have such a love/hate relationship at times. Sometimes they get along so well. And other times I feel like they are trying to kill each other. Today was a day when they went back and forth between liking and despiseing each other....
