Another update

Uh oh!!! Here we go. I brought my 24hour urine test in to the lab this morning. I called tonight to see if the results were in yet. I wish I didn't call. The normal results are 0-150, my results were 326:-( Now I haven't yet talked to a doctor about it yet, but I did call the OB nurses and also have been on the pre-eclampsia foundation website. Both places state that protein over 300 is pre-eclampsia. But what I don't know is if you have to have high blood pressure in order to be diagnosed with pre-e or if just the protein is enough to make that diagnosis. Ugghhh:-(
I am trying to not think about it, and certainly trying not to stress about it. But it is hard.
I saw a great quote today: "Why worry when you can pray?" Great right???
Please be praying that Baby Surprise and I can remain safe for at least another 5 to 10weeks:-) Thanks

Update!!!

~I am praising God as my glucola test came back normal! I no longer have to check my blood sugar four times a day!!!
~I am praising God as my liver function tests came back good too!!!
~I am praising God because I woke up feeling healthy yesterday! I haven't felt good in probably over a month, and yesterday (and today) I feel GREAT!!!

I am truly so blessed. I am feeling this baby moving more and more every day and am starting to really get excited that this little miracle will make it into my arms. I feel like I am getting big already, although the doctors say I am measuring a tad on the small side, and depending on the clothes I wear you can't really tell. But my MIL thinks that I am definitely bigger right now than I was at this point with either Sam or Sophia:-) I promise I will post some preggo pics soon. But for now enjoy these two cuties who totally rock my world:-)

25 weeks!!!

How far along:
25 Weeks

Doctor: I went in yesterday to see the doctor at Brigham and Women's. It was an ok appointment. I am feeling pretty crappy to be perfectly honest. I started having diarrhea on wednesday, and have a headache and increased stomach pain. I am anxious about it as that is how I presented with HELLP syndrome with both Sam and Sophia. My blood pressure was 116/68, so there isn't any high blood pressure yet. I did have protein in my urine today which I hadn't had previously:-( They did a lot of blood work, but I do not know the results yet, and they repeated my glucola test, the last doctor I was going to had me start doing finger sticks four times a day, but they have ALL been normal, so they are checking this to see if I can stop doing it. I will be calling later to get the results of all the blood work

Size of baby: Munchkin now weighs about 1 and 1/2 pounds and is around thirteen and a half inches long, about the size of one of those recorders that you learn to play in elementary school :-)

Development: Baby Surprise has developed his/her taste buds, and can now taste the difference between sweet and salty. Brain and nerve endings are developed enough now that the baby has a sense of touch.

Sleep: Sleeping very well. Although I am still a little tired, and would love to nap during the day

What I miss: Nothing really this week

Cravings: I am craving ice chips, and chocolate:-)

Weight: I was up 1 lb from my visit to the office two weeks ago, so that makes me be a total of 15 pounds under my starting weight. But I feel like I am HUGE:-) and loving it

Symptoms: Heartburn is continuing, the right upper quadrant pain is continuing. But this week I have started with some diarrhea and increased headaches as well.

Best Moment this week: Hearing the heart beat at the doctors office is something I will never get tired of hearing. And then each night while sitting on the couch I pull up my shirt and just watch my belly move all over. I just love seeing that the baby's wiggles and kicks are getting bigger and stronger, thus letting me know that this little one is doing so well.

I am just praying so hard that I can carry this baby to term, that I don't get deathly ill, that there aren't long term hospitalizations, and complications. That we can finally have a normal delivery and birth:-) But at the end of the day praying for God's will is what I am really wanting.

24 weeks!!!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 24 Weeks

Doctor: I haven't seen any doctors this week. I did get my labs back from last week and unfortunately my liver enzymes have gone up a tiny bit. I spoke with them today, but depending on how I feel tomorrow may go in tomorrow or not until next thursday. :-) Have I said how blessed and thankful that I am to have these new perinatal doctors? God really provided for me with them.

Size of baby: Munchkin now weighs about 1 and 1/3 pounds and is around a foot long, about the size of an ear of corn:-)

Development: The baby's sense of hearing is fully developed now and loud noises can startle him/her. Munchkin now also has eyelashes and hair (well may have hair, my kiddos usually don't have any)

Sleep: I worked the last several nights before last night so sleep has been lacking in the last half of the week, but I am certainly feeling a good sleep coming on tonight:-)

What I miss: Nothing really this week

Cravings: I had a fabulous Hunka Chunka PB Fudge sundae from Friendlys yesteray, it was so yummy. Peanut butter and chocolate have been very desirable this week, as has watermelon and green grapes

Weight: I was up 0.6 pounds on our scale this week

Symptoms: heartburn is become an almost nightly occurance, I have also been having sharp stabbing right upper quadrant pains that are coming and going. I have started having the pain in my lower left belly now. And my kids are really enjoying how often I get hiccups and have burps:-)

Best Moment this week: Watching my belly shake rattle and roll with movement as this little munchkin does gymnastics in there. I just feel so blessed to be here. After the scare of the baby not being viable and thinking that I may not get to be pregnant until the point where I could feel the baby, these movements just bring me tremendous joy.

Really?!?!?

So after working a ton of hours in the last few days I started having severe pain in the lower part of my abdomen yesterday, so much so that it prevented me from sleeping yesterday. I called the doctor today and essentially they said that it could be my ovary getting twisted and the blood supply to it being affected, that it could be my c-section scar being stretched and starting to tear, or a tear in my abdominal muscles:-( She said to do nothing today and lay around, yeah not going to happen with a four and three year old. But I tried. I am feeling better, so I am praising God for that.
I am praying that tonight I can sleep and tomorrow I feel normal again. Otherwise I have to go into Boston tomorrow for an ultrasound.
I am totally not a hockey fan, but GO BRUINS:-) They showed this sweet little old man on the news today who has been a season ticket holder since 1937!!!! Now that is dedication:-)

23 weeks- and VIABILITY!!!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 23 Weeks

Doctor: I saw the maternal fetal medicine doctor at Brigham and Women's yesterday. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was and how much better I feel about everything. Unfortunately she does think that I will probably get sick again, but I am so comforted by the fact that they are world renowned and will do whatever they can to make the baby and I as healthy as possible. I had an ultrasound yesterday too:-) They actually don't do weights on babies until 24wks so I am not sure how big he/she is. I will be going to the doctor at least every two weeks now, ultrasounds every two weeks, and frequent lab work as well.

Size of baby: Munchkin now weighs about 1 pound and is around eleven and a half inches long, about the size of a mango:-)

Development: The baby is starting to develop fat cells, and is now able to open and close his/her eyes

Sleep: Has been fabulous the last few days since the air conditioner is in now:-)

What I miss: Nothing really this week

Cravings: Anything really cold, ice, lemonade, watermelon, Edy's whole fruit popsicles

Weight: At the new doctors scale I was up 3 pounds from our scale at home, but one pound on our scale

Symptoms: heartburn is become an almost nightly occurance, I have also been having sharp stabbing right upper quadrant pains that are coming and going. I will actually be having an ultrasound of my liver at my next OB appt

Best Moment this week: Meeting my new doctor, and realizing what amazingly capable hands we are in now. Knowing that God has helped get us right where we need to be:-)

New Game plan

After the scare of last weekend, and the complete lack of faith that I now have in the doctors that were caring for me, and for the MANY MANY people who have suggested I go elsewhere for my very high risk pregnancy, I have finally made that commitment to go elsewhere. My PCP suggested Brigham and Women's in Boston, and so that is where I am going to go. I have 3 appointments scheduled for next week, one of them being an ultrasound.:-)
I am feeling kind of better, still feeling not 100% but I am so so thankful that I haven't developed HELLP yet, and am praying that my liver tests come completely back to normal, that I don't really end up needing hte care that Brigham can provide, and that this baby will be full term and fat:-)
